Liverpool again have the chance to knock Manchester United off the Barclays Premier League table, for a day at least, with victory over West Ham United.
A win over Stoke City last time out saw West Ham United climb to seventh spot in the table. They will hope to pick up points on Saturday, as they vie to stay put in seventh and qualify for the Europa League.
Having beaten the Reds at the Boleyn Ground last season, the Hammers could record successive home victories over Rafael Benitez's men for the first time since 1999.
West Ham striker Carlton Cole is approaching a return from his groin injury but the Barclays Premier League clash against Liverpool may come too soon.
Savio (illness) is back in the squad and Jack Collison is pushing for a starting place after coming back from his knee injury last week.
Scott Parker (groin) is out, along with James Collins (calf) and Kieron Dyer (hamstring). Dean Ashton (ankle), Valon Behrami (knee) and Danny Gabbidon (back/stomach) are out of the season.
Midfielder Xabi Alonso is out of the match following the red-card tackle from Joey Barton that saw the Liverpool man carried off on a stretcher last weekend.
The Reds went on to win that match with Newcastle United 3-0 but Alonso has struggled to recover from the ankle injury sustained in the tackle.
Striker Fernando Torres (hamstring) and midfielder Javier Mascherano (ankle) are expected to play at the Boleyn Ground, where Liverpool can regain top spot from Manchester United on goal difference if they are victorious.
